Here I am in an old selfie on the phone trying to track down some illusive reggae star in Kingston. When I lived in Jamaica we had a pretty nice house in the hills outside of Kingston. As you can see in this photo there is not much furniture. The owners of the home found out the guy who we were subletting it from was charging us about twice what he was paying to rent. They didn’t like that too much and said we could stay and pay them the original rent and then they evicted the original renter. Obviously he was not to happy so he decided to sell all his furniture leaving us to buy only a few beds and a couple of chairs. We lived there for several months like this and it actually wasn’t that bad. As they say, “suh it guh”.
