Stacks of Records

Stacks of 45’s wait for customers at a Kingston record shop. (1998)

Worldwide the sales of reggae music have been estimated at over $1 billion dollars annualy. An impressive number except for the artists who most only see a very, very small portion ever makes into their pockets. It reminds me of a song by the 1990’s roots trio, Foundation.

“One shirt on my back, but life goes on. Two pants I have got, but life goes on, no shoes on my feet, but life goes on, no money to spend, but life goes on”  One Shirt – Foundation

So sorry for the delay in postings but I still only have a limited access to my archives for now, am hoping to get a new laptop this week and should be back in business, so soon forward.
