At the control board inside the iconic Jammy’s studio in Kingston, Jamaica (1992)
So many artist and hits have come out of Jammy’s studio that there is too many to name. Outside at the studio entrance are some of the names painted on the wall, people like: Dennis Brown, Leroy Smart, Derrik Morgan, Little John, Super Cat, Nitty Gritty, Pan Head, Frankie Paul, Bounty Killer, Pinchers, Admiral Tibett, Horace Andy, Black Uhuru, Sugar Minott, Half Pint, Early B and of course Wayne Smith are just some of the artist who did tunes for Jammy, the list goes on.
I have put up a new page on the blog for new projects, the link is at the top of the page.
Great pic as always Brian, keep them coming
Thanks and glad you enjoyed it. I was wondering, I had not heard from you in a while. I’ve been following up on your work, great stuff, keep it up as well.
I’m still here but have been so busy these last months, but I am always checking your blog and enjoying all the pics – thought it was about time I left you a comment! I love these studio shots, they are almost a forgotten era now.
True, shots of digital sessions are not as interesting, tape machines are so visual. Shots of people at computer monitors just don’t cut it, although I do have some in the archive.
Big Up
