In keeping with this months Bob Marley theme, here is a portrait of  Ziggy Marley I shot a few years back. When I was living in Kingston, I used to often go down to Hope road to hang out at the Bob Marley museum to relax and enjoy the vibes. They had a great restaurant and natural juice bar there. Because of the museums photo restrictions (you can only photograph the house) I couldn’t really shoot many photo’s so I would just hang out and watch the Marley’s play soccer and talk with various musicians who were coming and going. As a result, I had got to know them pretty well. However, it would still take several months of hanging out before Ziggy would finally let me take pictures of him for my book Reggae Island. Since then I have photographed him many times over the years. I shot this image when Ziggy was in New York City doing some promotions for his Grammy winning CD Love Is My Religion.
