The roots trio Israel Vibration, Wiss, Skelly & Apple live in New York City.
This photo was taken in 1990 at the old Ritz theatre in NYC. Israel Vibes has long been one of my favorite groups. Backed by the Roots Radics their shows are always great with classics like, Why You So Craven, The Same Song, Cool And Calm, Strength Of My Life, Rudeboy Shufflin’ and Greedy Dog, some of my favorites. The line-up may have changed off and on over the years but they remain consistent. Wiss’s solo recording, Mr. Sunshine is also a must for any reggae collection. Also on this show were Culture, Augustus Pablo and Akabu, was a true roots experience.
